Overview of the Material Handler Opportunity

Under the supervision of the production supervisor, the warehouse worker is responsible for receiving merchandise and customer products, as well as shipping orders.

You will accomplish, among other things, the following:

  • Receiving and shipping merchandise using a forklift according to established procedures
  • Load, unload, and move products and materials by hand or using material handling equipment
  • Count, weigh, sort, unpack, and pack various products and materials, and record the required information, such as dimensions and weight, on the appropriate documents
  • Verify that the received materials comply with the LPM order and record this on the designated form, checking the quantity
  • Keep the storage areas clean and organized (warehouse and yard)
  • Use of cylinders, refilling, or checking levels for the forklift
  • Emptying recycling bins and managing waste
  • Clearing emergency exits, snow obstruction, and de-icing
  • Confirmation to operations of the arrival of expected materials
  • Unload and verify the accuracy of the carrier's delivery receipt, and date and sign it
  • Verification of sanitary parts every 2 days, filter change every 2 weeks
  • Emptying recycling bins as needed, managing pallets as needed
  • Perform maintenance on their forklift

Requirements

  • Level of studies: DES or the equivalent
  • Training: Up-to-date forklift operator cards + forklift driver license
  • Spoken and written language: French

Salary offered: $20.00 per hour
Full time: from 7:00 AM to 4:15 PM Monday to Thursday, and from 7:00 AM to noon on Friday
